More trouble for ex-MLA's son; Raheel now accused in another accident in Jubilee Hills

HYDERABAD: Spelling more trouble for former Bodhan MLA Shakeen's son Raheel Aamir, Jubilee Hills police have included his name as an accused in a road accident case that took place couple of years ago.

Raheel was recently arrested in the Praja Bhavan accident case which took place in December after he returned from Dubai.

Couple of years ago, Kajol Chauhan, who was crossing the road selling balloons, was hit by a car on Road Number 45. Kajol's two-month-old son Ranveer died in the accident and Kajol was seriously injured. Immediately after the accident, three persons fled from the spot in a car. Based on the sticker on the car, the police identified that it belonged to MLA Shakeel and registered a case under Section 304 of the IPC and started investigating the case.

During the course of investigation, the police found that Raheel, his friends Afnan and Maz were in the car at the time of the accident though there was no clarity on who was driving the car. However, Afnan surrendered to the police and testified that he was behind the wheel.

Recently, the role of Raheel was investigated once again in the case. The police collected the statement of victim Kajol along with Afnan who had surrendered. They infact named Raheel as the one who was driving the car. Based on this statement, Raheel was added as an accused and the sections in the case were altered to 304 (2). The Jubilee Hills police will investigate the case once again.
