Myanmar student dies from snakebite at Acharya Nagarjuna University
The student was bitten by a venomous snake while collecting mushrooms on the campus.
GUNTUR: A student from Myanmar lost his life due to a snakebite at at Acharya Nagarjuna University in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh.
The student, identified as Kondanna, was pursuing a degree in Buddhism and ventured into the campus bushes to collect mushrooms when a venomous snake, known as "raktapinjaram" (red-headed krait), bit him on the leg.
Though his fellow students rushed him to the hospital, Kondanna died on the way. University officials have informed his parents in Myanmar of the unfortunate incident. His body has been moved to a local hospital for further procedures.
