Nursing student dies by suicide in Hyderabad hostel room

HYDERABAD: A nursing student was found dead by suicide in her hostel room at Pragati Nursing School in Nacharam.

The deceased, Sanjiya (20) from West Bengal, attended her classes on Wednesday as usual, but later went to her room and hanged herself using a chunni from the ceiling fan.

College authorities reported that Sanjiya was the sole occupant of her hostel room. The Nacharam police arrived at the scene, inspected the room, and transferred the body to Gandhi Hospital mortuary for post-mortem.

The reasons for her suicide are yet to be ascertained, and further investigation is underway.
