One killed, two critical, after man rams car into wedding procession in Medak
Apparently, there was a land dispute between Venkati's family and Narender.
HYDERABAD: A man rammed his car into a wedding in anger due to old factions took place on Thursday night in Reddypally Vaddera Colony under Chegunta Mandal of Medak district.
According to the details, Uppu Venkati of the colony conducted his daughter Suvarna's wedding on Thursday. The bride went to her in-laws house in Lakshmidevipalli, Bikanur mandal of Kamareddy district in a baraat. But on the way back to her home, a man named Narender, who belonged to the Reddypally Vaddera Colony, rammed his car into the baraat in a fit of rage. Apparently, there was a land dispute between Venkati's family and Narender.
Uppu Ramya, Uppu Durgaiah, Sampangi Yadagiri, Uppu Sujata and Babu of the colony were injured in the attack. Ramya and Durgaiah were taken to a private hospital in Hyderabad for treatment as their condition was critical. However, Ramya succumbed to injuries.
Kapu Yadagiri of Bhimraopalli, who was riding his bike when the incident took place, was also injured. Chegunta police reached the spot, collected details, and shifted the injured for treatment. Narender has been taken into custody.
