Pebberu Municipal Commissioner caught by ACB for accepting bribe

HYDERABAD: Pebberu Municipal Commissioner Adiseshu was caught by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) while accepting a Rs 20,000 bribe from a local contractor.

The incident came to light when the contractor approached the ACB after being asked to pay the bribe for the release of pending bills.

According to ACB Additional SP Srikrishna Goud, the contractor had requested the commissioner to release his municipal contract payments. However, Commissioner Adiseshu demanded a bribe in return. With no other recourse, the contractor informed ACB officials, who then planned a trap.

Following their guidance, the contractor offered the bribe, and the ACB officers caught Adiseshu red-handed while accepting the money. A case has been registered, and further investigations are underway.
