Police clarified a CCTV-verified incident near a Hyderabad temple, warning against spreading false claims.
HYDERABAD: Police have urged the public to refrain from spreading false rumours or fabricated stories after a piece of meat was found near a temple in the Masab Tank area of Hyderabad late last night. Authorities responded swiftly to the situation after receiving reports of meat lying on the road in front of the temple.
Upon investigating the incident, CCTV footage revealed that a stray dog had picked up the meat from nearby garbage and accidentally dropped it near the temple. The footage confirmed that the occurrence was unintentional and unrelated to any deliberate act.
Police have requested that no misinformation or baseless claims be circulated about the incident. They also warned that legal action would be taken against individuals spreading false information. The authorities emphasised the importance of maintaining peace and not sensationalising the situation.
