Rachakonda police busts human trafficking racket, seven held

HYDERABAD: The Anti Human-Trafficking Unit (AHTU) team along with Uppal police, in a joint operation, apprehended a seven-member interstate human trafficking gang, operating in three commissionerates and in other States. The gang kidnapped women and young girls from different States through their sources and supplied them to the traffickers operating across the country.

They were running an online human trafficking racket and minting money by operating brothel houses and sedning girls to clients' locations.

Two traffickers, Deepak Chand from Rajasthan and Satish Rajak from Jharkhand were into this illegal 'flesh-trading' business for a few years and were earning money by illegally operating brothels. Deepak and Satish came in contact during a 'business deal'. They used online dating websites to attract clients and transported the girls. They used net banking for their payments.

Satish Rajak informed Deepak Chand, who was staying in Hyderabad, that he was having good contacts with Bangladeshi traffickers and they would send young girls to West Bengal by arranging their travel with fake IDs.

About a few months back, Satish Rajak contacted trafficker Brishti from Bangladesh who arranged two Bangladeshi girls, who were siblings, out of which one was a minor, on the pretext of providing jobs at a Beauty Parlour. On July 11,the elder sister quarreled with Satish Rajak and Brishti for involving her younger sister and insisted them to send her back.

The victim girl with her baby, who were moving in the area after escaping, were rescued by the police and a case was registered. On information given by the girl, the accused people were at Karad of Maharashtra state, the AHTU team and Uppal police team organized rescue operation in Navarang lodge at Karad of Maharashtra with local police assistance and nabbed traffickers Sathish Rajak, Bristhi, Arun Jadhav, Suresh and Aslam.

They rescued a minor girl from their custody. All the traffickers along with the minor victim were brought to Uppal PS.

The traffickers would be taken into police custody for further investigation. The police would be on the lookout for the absconding traffickers to rescue the girls in their custody.
