Rachakonda Police seize 40 kg poppy straw in drug bust, two arrested
Two Rajasthan natives were arrested in Hyderabad for possessing 40 kg of poppy straw and other drugs.
HYDERABAD: In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, Rachakonda police arrested two individuals and seized 40 kilograms of poppy straw, 10 grams of MDMA, and other materials in Hyderabad.
Rachakonda Police Commissioner Sudhir Babu stated that the accused, Om Ram and Sanwal, both natives of Rajasthan, had procured the drugs from Vikas in Madhya Pradesh. They were apprehended in a carefully planned operation conducted by Jawahar Nagar and LB Nagar police while attempting to sell the drugs in Hyderabad.
Police also seized Rs 10,000 in cash, three cell phones, and a car along with the drugs. A case has been registered against the accused, and an investigation is underway.
The Rachakonda Police Commissioner issued a stern warning that strict action will be taken against anyone involved in the sale or transportation of illegal drugs.
