HYDERABAD: Managing Director of Sandhya Convention Saranala Sridhar Rao was arrested by the Delhi Police on Monday reportedly in a case related to the cheating of a relative of Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan. He was subsequently produced in a Hyderabad court following the mandatory medical examination.
A relative of actor Amitabh Bachchan by the name Khushichand, who ran an organic food business, was allegedly defrauded by Sridhar Rao.
Speaking to the media following his arrest, Sridhar Rao claimed that he was innocent. “I did not defraud anyone and these are baseless accusations. In fact, I was the one who paid the money. I have documents and all other proofs. I will legally fight against this.”
Incidentally, Sridhar Rao an accused in a few cheating cases and was arrested in the past before being let out on bail.
Sridhar Rao was arrested in Hyderabad by the Delhi Police after a medical examination. He was produced in the Upperpally Court of Rajendranagar.
