AMARAVATI: Seven people were killed in two separate road accidents in Andhra Pradesh's Anantapur and Tirupati districts on Sunday.

In Anantapur district, an Innova car collided with a lorry near Bukkaraayasamudram, killing four passengers instantly. The victims were identified as Chakali Pavan, Srinivas, Mustaq, and S. Pavan, all residents of Stalin Nagar in Anantapur.

In another accident in Tirupati district, a car lost control and rammed into a stationary container on the national highway near Chillakur early Sunday morning. The car slid under the lorry, resulting in the immediate deaths of three occupants, identified as residents of Nellore district. The victims were reportedly returning home after visiting the Arunaachalam temple.

Police have registered cases for both incidents and initiated investigations into the causes of the accidents.
