Six-year-old girl raped and killed by driver in Peddapalli
The accused picked up the child who was sleeping with her mother in a rice mill and committed the heinous crime.

PEDDAPALLI: A six-year-old girl was raped and killed by a driver in Peddapalli district.
The accused, identified as Balram, a driver in a rice mill and native of Uttar Pradesh, picked up the child who was sleeping with her mother in a rice mill at around 11 pm on Thursday. He took her to the nearby bushes, raped her and then killed her. At midnight, the mother found the girl was not by her side and searched the neighbourhood with her fellow workers. They were shocked to see the dead body of the girl. They immediately informed the police, who arrived at the scene and, after inspecting the scene of the offence, shifted the body to Sultanabad Government Hospital for post-mortem.
The nearby CC cameras recorded the visuals of Balram carrying the child. Later, the accused was also identified and handed over to the police.
The victim's family hailed from Diagam village of Asifabad district, and its members used to work as labourers in a rice mill at Katnapalli, Sultanabad mandal of Peddapalli district.
Further investigations into the case are still ongoing.
