Software engineer kills brother's family, dies by suicide over forced marriage

TIRUPATI: In a tragic incident in Tirupati's Padmavati Nagar, Gudimetla Mohan, a software engineer, allegedly killed his brother's children, Devisri and Neeraja, and his sister-in-law, Sunitha, before committing suicide.

Mohan allegedly attacked his sister-in-law and her children with a knife when his brother was not at home. He then hanged himself in the same room.

Police suspect that Mohan harboured resentment towards his brother's family for arranging a marriage he did not want. After his marriage and subsequent divorce following disputes with his wife, Mohan grew increasingly bitter seeing his brother's family happy.
