Street brawl: Mallikarjuna Swamy temple priests fight in Siddipet

HYDERABAD: Priests of Mallikarjuna Swamy temple divided into two groups and fight in a street brawl in Siddipet.

According to information reaching the State headquarters, the priests of the Mallikarjuna Swamy temple in Rekulakunta of Siddipet became two groups and fought amongst themselves with sticks and stones fiercely. At least 15 priests suffered bleeding injuries. The police shifted them to a hospital and they are being treated there. Most of them suffered serious injuries and condition of some of them is said to be critical. The controversy sparked off following the appointment of most priests owing allegiance to one particular group. Further details are awaited.
