Student killed as car collides with auto-rickshaw carrying schoolchildren in Bhadradri Kothagudem

KOTHAGUDEM: One student was killed and six others were injured when a car collided with an auto-auto-rickshaw carrying schoolchildren near the Murredu Vagu bridge in Seetharampuram, Mulakalapalli Mandal, Bhadradri Kothagudem district, on Tuesday.

The accident occurred when the auto-rickshaw, transporting children to school, was hit by the car, resulting in the death of a sixth-grade student named Eshwar. The injured, including the auto-auto-rickshaw driver, were immediately taken to the government hospital in Palwancha.

According to local police, two of the injured students are in critical condition. The students involved in the accident are from the villages of Pusagudem, Subbanapalli, and VK Ramavaram in Mulakalapalli Mandal.

Police reached the scene swiftly and launched rescue efforts after receiving information from local residents.
