Sub-inspector destroys Ganesh idol in inebriated condition

HYDERABAD: A sub-inspector allegedly destroyed a Ganesh idol in an inebriated condition during a Ganesh immersion programme in Pudur mandal of Vikarabad district.

Devotees claimed that the officer, identified as Madhusudhan Reddy, was intoxicated when he damaged the idol in the SC Colony.

The incident angered the devotees, who accused the sub-inspector of disrespecting their religion and dishonouring their deity. The devotees demanded immediate suspension of the officer, alleging that his actions insulted Hinduism and its beliefs.
