HYDERABAD: Task Force police conducted a raid on a pub in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, on Friday night, detaining 42 women and 140 men involved in questionable activities. The raid was part of an ongoing operation targeting illegal practices in city pubs.

According to the police, the pub management was allegedly luring young women under the pretext of job opportunities and offering commissions to those who helped generate higher bills from customers. In addition, the establishment was accused of offering higher payments to women performing obscene dances to attract more patrons.

The raid was conducted after receiving multiple complaints about such activities, which violate public decency laws. All 182 individuals were taken into custody for further investigation, and authorities are probing the pub’s involvement in organised illegal activities. The police are expected to take stringent action against the pub owners found guilty of these violations.
