Teacher stabbed to death in Hyderabad hostel

HYDERABAD: A 27-year-old teacher, Venkat Ramana, was stabbed to death by his roommate, Ganesh, in a hostel in Hyderabad's SR Nagar on Saturday night.

The two had a history of disagreements, with Ganesh, a barber, frequently returning home drunk and disturbing Venkat Ramana's peace. On the night of the incident, an argument escalated into a physical altercation, during which Ganesh allegedly attacked Venkat Ramana with a knife.

Despite being rushed to the hospital, Venkat Ramana, a native of Nandyal in Andhra Pradesh, succumbed to his injuries.

Police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
