Three arrested for sexually assaulting student in Warangal district

WARANGAL: Police in Warangal district have arrested three young men accused of a sexual assault on a student.

The incident took place in a hotel where the suspects reportedly deceived the victim before carrying out the assault. Warangal ACP Nandiram Naik provided details of the case during a press briefing.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Tati Shivaraj Kumar alias Jetty from Hanuman Nagar in Bhupalpally, Kuchana Manideep from Godavarikhani in Peddapalli district, and Kodam Vivek, a B.Tech student at BITS College in Laknepalli, Warangal district. The ACP stated that all three accused were students at the BITS College in Laknepalli.

The police have seized a car used by the accused as well as three mobile phones. The arrested individuals have been remanded to custody pending further investigation.
