HYDERABAD: A tornado has caused massive destruction in the Medaram Forest of Mulugu district, bringing down large trees and leaving a trail of devastation. The violent winds uprooted over 50,000 trees across 200 hectares in the Tadvai Mandal.
Authorities who visited the site on September 1 were shocked to see the extent of the damage. The tornado is believed to have caused the destruction, with winds estimated to have reached speeds of at least 120 kilometres per hour, powerful enough to topple even massive trees.
