TEKKALI: In a new twist to the sensational family dispute involving YSRCP MLC Duvvada Srinivas, police have registered a case against Divvala Madhuri, who is accused of having an affair with Srinivas.

Madhuri has been charged with causing an accident on the Palasa National Highway with the intent to commit suicide. The case was filed under Section 125 of the New Indian Penal Code for reckless driving and endangering the lives of others.

The family disputes of Duvvada Srinivas, who hails from Tekkali in Srikakulam district, have recently come to light. Srinivas's wife, Vani, and their two daughters have accused him of distancing himself from the family due to his alleged relationship with Madhuri. This led to a verbal battle between Vani and Madhuri, with both parties making severe allegations against each other over the past few days.

Madhuri met with an accident on Sunday while travelling from Tekkali to Palasa. Near the Lakshmipuram toll gate, her car collided with a stationary vehicle, causing her car to overturn. Madhuri sustained injuries and was taken to Palasa Hospital, where she refused treatment, revealing that she had intended to end her life by causing the accident.

Madhuri accused Vani of being the reason for her distress, stating that she could not bear the pain of Vani's derogatory remarks. She claimed that Vani's comments had tarnished her character and that Vani had demanded DNA tests for her children, which led her to attempt suicide by crashing into a lorry. Madhuri insisted that she would only accept treatment if Vani was arrested. However, after about an hour and a half, doctors forcibly administered treatment to her.
