Two killed, several injured in lorry-RTC bus collision in Jangaon

JANGAON: Two persons were killed and several others injured when a lorry collided with an RTC bus in Jangaon district on Tuesday.

The accident occurred near the turning between Vavilala and Mallampalli in Palakurthi mandal. The lorry, unable to navigate the turn, crashed into the bus. The impact was so intense that two passengers were killed on the spot while several others sustained injuries. The injured were immediately rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment. The condition of some of the injured is reported to be critical.

Local police have registered a case and begun an investigation.
