Two workers die of electric shock at closed Medchal factory

HYDERABAD: Two workers lost their lives due to electric shock and three others were injured at a closed private factory in Kandlakoya, within the Medchal police station limits.

The accident occurred when the workers were moving a ladder on a vehicle, which accidentally came in contact with high-tension wires.

The victims, identified as Gudubaitu (26) and Mangi (25), died on the spot due to the electric shock. The three injured workers were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, while the bodies of the deceased were moved to a government hospital for post-mortem.

Police reached the site upon receiving information about the incident and have registered a case to begin an investigation. Authorities are currently looking into the details to determine how the accident occurred and if any negligence was involved.
