Boduluru Ashram Girls' School in Maredumilli mandal, Alluri Sitarama Raju district of Andhra Pradesh. Students have accused the warden, Mangamma, and ANM Ramalakshmi of subjecting them to physical abuse and forced labour.

According to the students, the warden and ANM would strip them of their clothes and beat them with iron rods and sticks, using the excuse of checking for skin conditions like scabies. The students also reported being forced to do menial tasks, including washing dishes, laundry, and massaging the staff's feet.

The students shared that they were often insulted by the staff, who told them that their parents were uneducated and lived in the hills, implying that they would achieve nothing through education. Despite bringing these issues to the attention of the headmistress, the students claim no action has been taken.
