Woman ASI attempts suicide in Medak Police Station, alleges harassment by SI

HYDERABAD: A woman Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) attempted suicide inside the Chilipched police station in Medak district, alleging harassment by her superior, Sub-Inspector Yadagiri.

The ASI, identified as Sudharani, expressed her anguish, accusing SI Yadagiri of continuous harassment and misconduct.

According to Sudharani, despite performing her duties diligently, SI Yadagiri would falsely mark her as absent with the help of constables. She claimed that the SI deliberately used abusive language and mentally harassed her out of personal vendetta, which pushed her to take the extreme step.

Following the suicide attempt, Sudharani was immediately rushed to Jogipet Hospital for treatment. Authorities are investigating the allegations, and further action will be taken based on the findings.
