Woman assaults RTC conductor after dispute over ticket in Hyderabad
A woman assaulted an RTC conductor in Hyderabad after refusing to buy a ticket, leading to a police complaint.
HYDERABAD: A woman, identified as Koyyala Saritha, allegedly assaulted an RTC conductor in a bus travelling from ECIL to Uppal on October 4.
The incident occurred when Saritha boarded the bus and presented her Andhra Pradesh Aadhaar card to the conductor instead of purchasing a ticket.
The conductor informed her that the Aadhaar card was not valid for fare exemption and insisted she purchase a ticket, leading to an argument. The situation escalated, and Saritha reportedly assaulted the conductor during the altercation.
Following the incident, the conductor lodged a complaint with the police. When approached, the woman also engaged in a verbal confrontation with the police officers. The matter is currently under investigation.
