GUNTUR: In a shocking incident in Tullur, Guntur district, a family dispute took a violent turn when a 30-year-old woman, identified as Pavani, allegedly bit off the ear of her 55-year-old mother-in-law, Nagamani, during an argument.

The family had reportedly been embroiled in conflicts for some time, which escalated on the day of the incident. During a heated altercation, Pavani attacked Nagamani, severely injuring her ear. Local residents immediately rushed Nagamani to the Tullur Primary Health Centre (PHC), from where she was transferred to the Guntur Government Hospital for further treatment.

However, due to the delay, doctors informed the family that reattaching the severed ear was not possible. The victim’s family expressed their distress over the situation, stating that timely medical intervention could have potentially saved her ear. The incident is under investigation.
