WARANGAL: A 36-year-old woman, Ankilla Kavitha, died from a fever while traveling on an RTC bus in Hanamkonda district on Thursday.

The incident occurred near Gudur village as Kavitha was returning to her native village, Vangapalli, in Kamalapur Mandal after receiving treatment.

According to local sources, Kavitha had been suffering from fever for a few days. Three days earlier, she was taken to MGM Hospital in Warangal for treatment. After receiving medical care, she and her husband, Kumaraswamy, boarded an RTC bus to return home.

As the bus neared Gudur village, Kavitha began sweating heavily and lost consciousness. Her husband initially assumed she was sleeping. However, upon reaching Vangapalli, when he attempted to wake her, she did not respond. It was then discovered that she had passed away while seated in the bus. Her family members were devastated by the loss and expressed their grief at the scene.
