Woman hits alcoholic husband to death with a steel vessel

KONASEEMA: Fed up of being tortured and harassed, a woman allegedly killed her husband by hitting him with a tumbler. The incident took place at Ayinavilli Lanka in Ayinavilli mandal of Dr BR Ambedkar Konaseema district on Thursday night.

Isukupatla Ramakrishna (34), who got habituated to alcohol, would often quarrel with his wife, Satyanarayanamma.

On Thursday night, an argument ensued between the two. In a fit of rage, the wife threw a tumbler on her husband hitting him on his head, leading to his death.

Upon receiving information from locals, the police arrived at the scene and arrested the accused. A case has been registered, and investigation is underway.
