Oakridge International school declares holiday on Sept 27 as student dies by suicide

HYDERABAD: Oakridge International School in Hyderabad declared a holiday on September 27 following the death of a tenth-grade student on Tuesday.
The Principal Oakridge International School declared in an official circular to parents on September 27, 2023 that the school would resume from September 29, 2023 onwards.
An official circular mailed by the school administration reads, "Dear Parent, As the Oakridge Gachibowli family is facing a sad situation we would like to express our solidarity and respect by closing the school on 27th September. We will be resuming from 29th September onwards. An intimation with more details will follow. Thank you for your understanding. Warm regards. Principal Oakridge International School."
Reyansh (14) allegedly jumped from the 35th floor of a high-rise building in Hyderabad's Raidurgam area on Tuesday morning and died on the spot after he fell.
The school administration and parents of Oakridge International School students have extended their solidarity and deepest condolences to the family of deceased student.
