OU engineering student bags SAE INDIA Foundation award
Student of Osmania University has bagged the first prize for the 'Best Student of the Year' category in the SAE INDIA Foundation award

HYDERABAD: A student of Osmania University's University College of Engineering has bagged the first prize for the 'Best Student of the Year' category in the SAE INDIA Foundation award. She was awarded a cash prize of Rs 15,000.
Sanga Spurthy graduated in BE Mechanical Engineering in the year 2022 and is currently working at ITC Agro Business Division. This is her second award at the SAE INDIA foundation. She had earlier won the Kalpana Chawla Award in 2020.
SAE INDIA Foundation's annual awards function for 2021-22 was held at Hotel Fortune Select Global in New Delhi on Monday (October 10). SAE INDIA Foundation Awards are given in five different categories. Reportedly a total of 35 awards are presented every year for the contributions of Individual professionals, students, industry and academics towards the development of the mobility Industry (Automotive / Aerospace).
This year, the awards were presented by SAE International President Dr Srinath and the Director General of the International Solar Alliance Dr Ajay Mathu, who is also a member of the Indian Prime Minister's Council on Climate Change.
