HYDERABAD: "All precautionary measures are being taken and situation is being monitored closely. Police personnel are deployed round the clock in the surrounding areas of the lakes and constantly monitoring the inflows and outflows. The situation is under control," said Cyberabad Police Commissioner Stephen Raveendra and urged citizens to go out only if emergency, in view of heavy rains.
To take stock of the situation in rain inundated areas, the Cyberabad CP along with other officials visited Himayat Sagar lake, Himayat sagar service road and Gandipet lake on Wednesday.
Cyberabad police was in touch with Hyderabad metro water works , NDRF, GHMC DRF , IMD , Irrigation dept , R&B and officials from police commissionerates and State disaster management to make sure that the rescue and response is swift .
The Commissioner urged the citizens to call on Dial-100 facility, or message on Cyberabad WhatsApp - 9490617444.
