Crocodile in Athapur: people gather to watch causing traffic jam

HYDERABAD: The sight of a crocodile near Athapur in Rajendranagar created a flutter on Saturday.

The locals found a crocodile on an elevated boulder in the Musi. People came in large numbers to take a glimpse of the alligator.

Immediately, forest officials were alerted. The officials felt that the antelope might have been washed away in the flood water in the recent floods when the gates of Osman Sagar and Himayatnagar Sagar were lifted to release water. As people jostled in hundreds causing a traffic jam, the police had to quell the mobs and clear the traffic.
