IRL: Over a dozen cars to hurtle past one another around Hussain Sagar

HYDERABAD: The Indian Racing League (IRL) is the first-of-its-kind racing event happening in Hyderabad, kindling an adrenaline rush in young automobile enthusiasts of the city.
Speaking to NewsTAP, Marketing Manager of X1 racing Felix Calis said, "The Indian Racing League has 12 races spread over four weekends. The first weekend's races on November 19 and 20 would be held in Hyderabad on the circuit track that X1 built. The next two weekends will be in Chennai and then the care will be back in Hyderabad on December 10 and 11. A total of 13 supercars have been brought for IRL. There would be six teams and one female driver in each team. Drivers are here from Britain, France, Czech Republic and other countries and local drivers would participate too."
The race, a precursor for the Formula E races scheduled to happen in February 2023 in Hyderabad, would start at 3 pm on Saturday, on the specially built 2.7-km race track around Hussain Sagar and NTR Marg. Hyderabad was the only Indian city listed to host the 2023 Formula E races and as per contact, Hyderabad would host the Formula E races for next four years.
