ISKCON seeks land to build Rs 200-cr temple near Hyderabad
ISKCON submitted a petition for allotment of land for the proposed Radha Krishna temple
HYDERABAD: The representatives of ISKCON met Telangana Endowments Minister Indrakaran Reddy at Aranya Bhavan on Friday and submitted a petition for allotment of land for the proposed Radha Krishna temple to be built on an area of 25 acres at a cost of Rs 200 crores. The ISCKON members requested the Minister to allot suitable land on lease in Sangareddy district near Hyderabad at a reasonable rate. The Minister promised to take the proposal to the notice of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and said that a decision would be taken according to his orders.
The ISKCON representatives gave an account of the features of the temple plan to the minister on this occasion. Endowments Commissioner Anil Kumar, President of ISKCON Visakhanagar branch Sambadas Prabhuji, Endowments Deputy Commissioner Ramakrishna and others were present at the meeting.
