HYDERABAD: The Income Tax Department (IT) on Monday raided Mythri Movie Makers, a Hyderabad-based film production company.
According to reports, officials from the IT department conducted simultaneous searches at 15 locations, including the offices and residences of the three producers, Yelamanchili Ravi Shankar, Naveen Erneni, and Cherukuri Mohan.
Searches have been underway in Hyderabad since Monday morning, with IT officials reportedly examining various documents related to tax payments and other issues relating to film productions.
Mythri, which is set to produce Balakrishna's Veera Simhareddy and Megastar Chiranjeevi's Valtair, has previously produced blockbusters like Pushpa, Rangasthalam, Srimanthudu, and Janatha Garage, among many others.
The company is also producing actor-politician Pawan Kalyan's latest film, Ustad Bhagat Singh, which is set to be released in 2023.
