HYDERABAD: The Jubilee Hills police on Sunday filed a case against the owners of Amnesia and Insomnia pubs for allegedly violating High Court orders.
According to reports, Raja Srikar, Kunal Kukreja and Manger Younis, the owners of the pub, have been charged with violation of High Court directives.
The Noise (Pollution) Regulation Act prohibits playing music in bars and pubs after 10 pm. A high court single judge previously ruled on the subject, issuing an order on September 12 and ordering the police to take harsh action against anyone found to be violating the ban.
The restriction on playing music after 10 pm in pubs, clubs, and other entertainment venues in Hyderabad city was, however, repealed on November 1, 2022 by a division bench of the Telangana High Court, with the exception of those in the Jubilee Hills neighbourhood.
