Kacheguda Railway Station bags award for national energy conservation
South Central Railway received several National Energy Conservation Awards from the Ministry of Power in the last 11 years
HYDERABAD: The Kacheguda railway station won the National Energy Conservation award for the best energy conservation measures adopted during the year 2022.
The Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power, Government of India, has been awarded seven National Energy Conservation Awards on South Central Railway (SCR). These awards were announced for energy conservation measures implemented in 2022.
The President of India, Droupadi Murmu, is expected to present the awards on December 14, 2022, on the occasion of "National Energy Conservation Day," in Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi.
The National Energy Conservation Awards are presented annually to recognise the extraordinary efforts made by several businesses, institutions, and organisations to energy efficiency and supply management.
South Central Railway received several National Energy Conservation Awards from the Ministry of Power in the last 11 years. The Zone was able to receive these awards due to the innovative and effective implementation of energy conservation measures.
Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, South Central Railway, congratulated the Principal Chief Electrical Engineer, SCR, Divisional Railway Managers, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntakal, and officers and staff of the Electrical Department on their achievement.
