KCR on Tuesday visited the house of Super Star Krishna and consoled Mahesh Babu and other family members
HYDERABAD: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) on Tuesday visited the house of Super Star Krishna and paid his last respects to the veteran actor. Krishna breathed his last in the early hours of Tuesday at the Continental Hospital here.
The Chief Minister on this occasion consoled Tollywood Super Star Mahesh Babu and other members of the Ghattamaneni family. On the directions of the Chief Minister, Telangana Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar has ordered that the last rites of Krishna be held with full state honours.
Emerging out of the house, KCR fondly recalled his close association with Krishna and his family while speaking to the media. While expressing his pain and anguish at losing a very dear friend, he reminisced the times he spent at the veteran actor's house on the latter's invitation on numerous occasions.
He described Krishna as a plain-hearted and straight-talking person while hailing his services as a Member of Lok Sabha in the past. KCR, on this occasion, recalled one of his conversations with the veteran actor. The TRS supremo, while hailing Alluri Sitharama Raju portrayed by Krishna as a great film, said that the actor simply laughed it off when he had conveyed the same to him in the past.
He said that Krishna was amused and asked him, "KCR garu, you watch films too?" KCR said that Krishna felt very happy when he told the actor that he had watched Allur Sitharama Raju multiple times.
Informing that a state funeral had been ordered in honour of the film personality who made several patriotic films, KCR said that he had consoled Mahesh Babu and other family members while praying to god to give the bereaved family the strength to recover from this huge personal loss.
