KCR is set to unveil the Mahatma Gandhi Statue on Sunday (October 2) marking the 153rd birthday of the father of the nation
HYDERABAD: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao is set to unveil the Mahatma Gandhi Statue on Sunday (October 2) marking the 153rd birthday of the father of the nation.
The installation of 16-foot-tall bronze statue of Mahatma Gandhi has been taken up by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA). The statue has been installed at the entrance of the Gandhi Hospital.
According to the instructions given by Telangana Minister for Animal Husbandry and Fisheries T Srinivas Yadav, the statue was developed in an area of 200 sq metres. The statue is located amid greenery, lighting and civil works that include flooring, pathways, fencing and stepped planter walls at Gandhi Hospital.
The statue weighs around five tons and was sculptured by Ram Sutar Fine Arts Company at a cost of Rs 1 Cr.
