HYDERABAD: The news of death of Kantamaneni Umamaheswari, youngest daughter of former chief minister late N T Rama Rao, shocked the people of Telugu states. Doctors conducted a postmortem on the body of Umamaheswari in Osmania Hospital mortuary.
The doctors said that it was primarily believed that she died due to hanging.
However, the postmortem report will come in two days. Umamaheshwari's mortal remains were handed over to the family members after postmortem. They shifted the body to her residence in Jubilee Hills.
Umamaheswari's husband Srinivasa Rao had gone out of town for business transactions. He is not at home since last 3 days and reached home on Monday. Srinivasa Rao earlier worked as a professor in a university in the USA and retired. After that the couple shifted to Hyderabad. When Umamaheswari committed suicide, her son-in-law, daughter, husband's sister, cook and workers were present in the house.
The doctors of Osmania Hospital conducted the embalming process for Umamaheswari's body as the funeral is likely to be delayed as her eldest daughter has to come from the United States. According to Umamaheswari's wish, her eyes were donated by family members.
