KTR slams Modi over LPG price hike, alleges centre burdened poor

HYDERABAD: TRS Working President KT Rama Rao said that the people of the country were getting into problems due to the increasing gas price every hour. He said because of Modi's policies, the LPG cylinder prices spiralled by 170 percent during the last eight years. He said due to the ineffective Modi administration, today the government had set a world record and the price of cooking gas was at the highest in the world.

He said that the country would be ashamed of the Modi regime, which increased the gas rate by Rs 244 this year with the latest increase of Rs 50.

He said that it was unfortunate that the price of a cylinder, which was Rs. 410 when Modi came to power in 2014, almost tripled to Rs 1100 today. He said that the rate of gas reaching more than Rs 1100, which is unprecedented in the history of the country, is proof of the BJP's ineffective administration. He said that during the regime of "Dharendra Modi" ( Rising prices Modi) the program of helping the poor with cylinder prices will go on unchecked.

KTR said that while the value of the rupee was depreciating, on the other hand, the petrol rates were increasing without any hindrance. He said that every Indian family's budget has become a burden with the rising rates of essentials. He said that due to BJP's inefficient policies, the price of every commodity needed by the people was skyrocketing, but the central government has no way to care about the sufferings of the people of the country. KTR said that the prices have increased in an unsustainable way in Modi's rule, which is ruling without regard to the problems of the people of the country, and the income of the people has fallen due to the lack of new jobs and the loss of existing jobs.

The minister alleged that all the BJP leaders along with Narendra Modi, who raised their voices on gas cylinder price hikes before coming to power, have now been looting. A regime that cannot control inflation and is troubling the people of the country with prices, and increase in taxes.

He said that the people of the country are realising the hypocrisy of the Modi government, which wants to hide its incompetence by showing international reasons for the increase in gas prices. KTR said that women are not using the cylinders given to them in the name of the Ujjwala scheme due to rising gas prices, and they are again looking toward wood stoves.

The young and dynamic leader of Telangana demanded that the BJP government which controls the prices only when there are elections, should act sympathetically towards the poor people and reduce the price of gas cylinders. KTR thanked the TRS party ranks for taking out protest programs across the state today against the central government's gas cylinder price hike. KTR said that the TRS party will continue to pressurise the central government's inefficient economic policies on price hikes in various forms.
