Moved by plight of disabled man, KTR allots double bedroom house
Telangana Minister for Municipal and Urban Development K T Rama Rao, who leads by example in helping the needy and downtrodden
HYDERABAD: Telangana Minister for Municipal and Urban Development K T Rama Rao, who leads by example in helping the needy and downtrodden, has once again demonstrated his generosity to a man who lost his both hands in an electrical accident by alloting him a double-bedroom house.
On the advise of KTR, Medchal Collector has allotted a double-bedroom house to Satyanarayana's family living at Shapur Nagar in Gajularamaram.
Satyanarayana has lost both hands in an electrical accident in May last year leaving the burden of family maintenance on his wife. While his wife supports the family by doing daily wage work, his five-year-old daughter Chandana Priya looks after the daily chores like feeding rice to Satyanarayana.
Satyanarayana, unable to cope with the struggles, urged the government to grant him a disability pension as he was unable to do any work after losing both hands.
Apart from this, he appealed to provide a house for them to stay in without rent. When KTR came to know the plight of Satyanarayana, he responded immediately and directed officials to allot him a double bedroom in Chittaaramma Basti of Balanagar.
The officials handed over the house allotment order and assured that the software for assessment of disabled for access rehabilitation and empowerment (SADAREM) certificate will be issued to get the disability pension.
