Police seize unaccounted cash of Rs 2,49,79,000 in Jubilee Hills

HYDERABAD: Commissioner's task force on Saturday around 11 pm apprehended three accused for illegal possession of unaccounted cash of Rs 2,49,79,000. The task force, on receiving credible information, intercepted a two-wheeler in Jubilee Hills. The police questioned the two accused travelling in the two-wheeler with a bag containing the huge amount.
The two accused disclosed that they were working under a person named Lalith, a hawala operator in Begumbazar. They further revealed that upon his instructions they had come to Jubilee Hills to collect the amount from Botchu Ramu.
The police immediately took Botchu Ramu into custody. The accused on enquiry disclosed that he had followed the instructions of his colleague, Pola Satyanarayana (who is currently in Delhi). He further added that Satyananryana had received the cash from an unknown person at Road No. 75 in Film Nagar, Jubilee Hills. The cash, as per instructions, was later given to the three accused, Sudhir Kumar, Ishwarlal Patel and Ashok Singh.
The police seized the amount and the three accused were taken into custody and were later let off after issuing a notice. A case has been registered and the other two accuses (Laith and Pola Satyanarayana) are still at large.
