Raja Singh's comments reflect his animosity towards Muslims: Owaisi
Raja Singh's comments have hurt the sentiments of Muslims
HYDERABAD: Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Thursday alleged that the controversial statements made by BJP MLA Raja Singh showed his and his party's hatred toward Muslims. His comments have hurt the sentiments of Muslims, he said.
Speaking to the media here, Asaduddin Owaisi said, "They have intentionally tried to hurt the sentiments of Muslims and incite riots in the city, which shows their hatred for Muslims and Islam. To incite racial unrest during the Milad Sharif procession and Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, they purposefully planned and released the controversial video on August 22."
He went on to say, "We will continue to oppose this till Telangana police put Raja Singh in prison. We urge the Telangana police to put an end to racial tensions at all costs because if they don't, the BJP and the RSS would have accomplished their objectives. However, I hope nothing of the sort occurs in the state. We urge Raja Singh's arrest and the creation of a strong case against him because he frequently sought to intentionally release controversial messages via social media".
In an additional appeal on Wednesday, our MLA Syed Ahmed Pasha Quadri urged Telangana Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy to expel BJP MLA Raja Singh from the Telangana Legislative Assembly, he added.
He went on to say that the Legislative Assembly has inherent powers under Article 194 of the constitution to punish anyone who violates a privilege or is in contempt of the house. We hope that Telangana Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy will take appropriate action against Raja Singh for his inappropriate statements.
