Rajnath Singh visits Krishnam Raju's house, consoles family

HYDERABAD: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh visited the family members of veteran Telugu actor and senior BJP leader late Krishnam Raju at their residence in Hyderabad on Friday. He conveyed his condolences and consoled the bereaved family which included actor Prabhas.

Rajnath Singh was accompanied by Union Tourism Minister G Kishan Reddy, BJP Rajya Sabha Member Dr Laxman and several other party leaders during this visit. Dr Laxman tweeted about the Defence Minister paying a visit to Krishnam Raju's house. He shared pictures of the senior leader spending time with the grief-stricken kin of the departed star.

"Along with Hon'ble Defence Minister Shri. @rajnathsingh Ji, met the family members of veteran actor & Sr. BJP Leader, Late Krishnam Raju Garu, to console them at their residence in #Hyderabad," his tweet read.

The veteran actor passed away at the AIG Hospital here in the early hours of September 11. He was last seen in the film 'Radhe Shyam' featuring his nephew Prabhas in the lead role.
