HYDERABAD: Commuters of the Hyderabad Metro Rail were put to inconvenience for a brief while as one of the trains stopped at two stations for over 15 minutes on Friday. The Redline Metro service operating between LB Nagar and Miyapur apparently suffered a technical snag due to which it stopped twice, at Lakdikapul and Panjagutta Metro stations.
A video captured by one of the passengers on a smartphone showed how perplexed the passengers were following the stoppage of the train at one of the two stations. The video showcasing the passengers, mostly office-goers, anxiously waiting for the train to resume its onward journey, went viral on social media.
Hyderabad Metro rail is the second-longest operational metro network with 57 stations and three lines. Though the Hyderabad Metro Rail runs its services meticulously on all the three routes – Red Line, Blue Line and Green Line – this is not the first instance of train stoppages due to power issues and technical glitches.
