Telangana governor invited for Dr Marri Channa Reddy's birth anniversary fete

HYDERABAD: BJP leader and former minister Marri Shashidhar Reddy on Thursday invited Telangana governor Tamilisai Soundararajan to an event to celebrate the 103rd birth anniversary of Late Dr Marri Channa Reddy on January 13, 2023.

"Called on Telangana Governor @DrTamilisaiGuv this morning to greet her for the New Year and also to extend her an invitation for a programme on the occasion of my father Late Dr Channa Reddy ji's 103rd Birth Anniversary on January 13, 2023," Shashidhar Reddy tweeted.

Dr Marri Channa Reddy, a Congress party stalwart from the Telangana region, was born in January 1919. He served as the Chief Minister of the undivided Andhra Pradesh from 1978 to 1980 and again between 1989 and 1990. He was also the governor of Uttar Pradesh (1974-1977), Punjab (1982-1983), Rajasthan (February 1992-May 1993) and Tamil Nadu from 1993 until his death.
