Traffic awareness programme launched at Gachibowli Wipro Circle
The Traffic DCP urged the citizens to follow traffic rules and cooperate with the traffic police
HYDERABAD: Cyberabad Traffic DCP Srinivas Rao on Tuesday stressed on the need for more effectively regulating and controlling the traffic keeping in mind the ever-increasing number of personal vehicles in Hyderabad.
Srinivas Rao launched a traffic awareness programme at Gachibowli Wipro Circle where commuters were educated about the importance of stopping behind the stop line on red light and keeping out of the free left lanes.
The awareness programme also features special drives where people will be enlightened about the need for having right number plates and the rules governing it.
The police said that, under the same programme, parking spaces around shopping malls and complexes would be inspected. Notices will be issued to malls which do not provide proper parking spaces, they said.
The Traffic DCP urged the citizens to follow traffic rules and cooperate with the traffic police to enable a comfortable travel environment in the city.
