HYDERABAD: The Telangana Government introduced a "One Time Scheme" (OTS) in which 90 percent interest on property tax will be waived off on property tax in all Urban Local Bodies in the State including the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), till October 31.

All taxpayers would be allowed to clear the principal amount of property tax dues till the year 2021-2022 with only 10 percent interest on the accumulated arrears at one go under the OTS.

Tax payers, who paid their entire property tax dues including interest / penalties upto march, 2022 during the current financial year prior to the introduction of this scheme, 90% of such interest/ penalties would be adjusted against their future payments.

Commissioner of GHMC urged the citizens to utilise the opportunity of One Time Scheme, which was introduced in July 2022, as the scheme would close on October 31.
