Vajrotsavam: Plantation drive in 75 Freedom Parks in GHMC limits

HYDERABAD: As part of the Swatantra Bharata Vajrotsava Dwisaptaham celebration, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) will begin a plantation drive at 75 open spaces identified to create Freedom Parks on August 10.

Starting with a minimum of 75, It has been mandated to plant saplings anywhere between 750 and 7500 in the proposed parks. People's representatives will kickstart the plantation drive.

The 75 Freedom Parks will be created in a zone-wise format within the GHMC limits. There will be 15 parks in the Khairatabad Zone and 12 each in the LB Nagar, Kukatpally, Secunderabad and Serlingampally Zones.
